Oudemirdum

Oudemirdum is a leafy village in the heart of the Gaasterland region. For some background info on the culture, history and nature of the region it is a good idea to visit Mar en Klif visitors center.

The Gaasterland region consists of ever so slightly rolling terrain, patches of wood, cropfields and meadowland. In the direct vicinity of Oudemirdum you will find woods and nature reserves such as Elfbergen (deciduous and pine woods, and a dragonfly pond), Jolderenbos (meaning ‘alder wood’) and Oudemirdumer Klif .
